Q-School - Through 2 Rounds

I've played 2 rounds in Pinehurst and find myself at +3. I hit it much better on day 2, but struggled on the greens - 4 three putts.

Hillcrest Invite - Yankton, SD

It was an up and down week in Yankton. I made a lot of silly mistakes that lead to a lot of bogies and double bogies. The birdies were always too few and far between. I wasn't able to make a long run of birdies, or any eagles. Final Leaderboard

Hillcrest Pro-Am - Yankton, SD

Just a quick post about round 1 in Yankton. I shot a 69, 3-under. Played two holes poorly and stupidly. Good thing is I started on #1 so those mistakes came early in the round and I rebounded nicely and played the last 8 holes 4-under par.

Aberdeen, SD - Moccasin Creek CC

2 rounds completed in Aberdeen. Here's a link to the leaderboard. I'm in a tie for 17th place with the final round on Sunday afternoon.

I've made a lot of birdies, but a bunch of bogies have offset those birdies.

Back Open For Business

It's been a long hiatus, but my summer schedule is in full swing and it's time to start blogging again. My spring and early summer were a difficult time. I played a lot of bad golf and really struggled to find any confidence. Now that I'm back in the midwest, my coach and I have been working hard to "repair" my swing.

The past 2 weekends I have been playing Dakotas Tour events. I finished 5th in the first event in Iowa, then in a tie for 17th in Sioux Falls. Last weekend I snuck into the last place check with a T18 finish in Vermillion. I lost 2 golf balls in my first 7 holes during round 1, nearly battled back to even par, but finished with a 73. Round 2 and round 3 were nearly identical 68s. I had 5 birdies and 1 bogey in each round and I hit 16 greens in both rounds.

I'm now in Aberdeen, SD getting ready for a 3 day event starting on Friday. I'll be posting here and on twitter throughout the rest of the summer. No more long hiatus'.

High Point, NC Round 1

Another weather delay in an eGolf tournament. It rained overnight and continued raining into the morning, so we had a 2 hour delay. When we teed off, there was still standing water in the low areas. We had to play pick, clean, and place in your own fairway.

I started the round with 7 pars. Had good chances for birdie on #1, #4, and #7, but failed to make the putts. I made a 12 foot putt for par on #2, and had nice two-putts on #5 and #6.

After those 7 straight pars, I went 6 holes without a par (3 bogies and 3 birdies). I then finished the round with 5 pars (all two-putt pars).
